摘要：TOMÁS DE AQUINO OS PRINCÍPIOS DA NATUREZA CAPÍTULO 1 - O QUE SÃO MATÉRIA E FORMA? Trata-se de uma tradução de um opúsculo de Tomás de Aquino, que foi escrito em cerca de 1252-6 e, portanto, pertence ao mesmo período de redação do De ente et essentia. No De principiis naturae, capítulo 1, Aquino apresenta algumas noções, como ser substancial e ser acidental, potência e ato, matéria, sujeito e forma, geração e corrupção. A partir dessas noções, os princípios da natureza, a saber, matéria, forma e privação, são postos em relevo.
