摘要：This article explores the life and theories about the identity of a mysterious woman who lived from 1899-1909 in the area southeast of Puerto Rico and was known to her followers by the nickname of «Vuestra Madre». This essay will discuss a new hypotesis about her identity. In addition, we analyze how a myth was built up around her person and how its evolution poses up to present times a real problem for the Catholic hierarchy.
