摘要：Research sexennials, which originated for salary complements, have become an essential quality indicator for Spanish academics. In order to understand the current state of research recognised by the Ministry of Education in areas related to the study of architecture and urbanism, this article analysed the results of the latest CNEAI evaluation of those areas within fi eld 6.3 considered to be research topics of professors of architecture: Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction and Urbanism. The conclusion is that new strategies are needed in order to attain greater visibility and recognition than that offi cially recognized, for the research produced by architects.
