摘要:In the Castilian fifteenth century, it is achieved a high cultural development, thanks to the dialectical effort of the literary movement known as the Women’s Quarrel. This literary development is turned into the production of books of high quality about the relationship of men and women in the court of Juan II of Castile and his first wife, María of Aragón. The dedication of the books of Diego de Valera and Juan Rodríguez del Padrón to the Castilian queen, guides our analysis to the knowledge of the personal and political characteristics of the queen: the model of the rest of the women of the kingdom. Also, we will propose a pluralistic conception to the term “author”, trough the investigation of these treatises, because the queen is the figure that inspires the creation of these literary works and, by this, she become in the cause of the book, in her author, too.
