摘要：The author offers a critical view on the relationship between photography and anthropology in Great Britain from the 19th century to the period between the two world wars. He focuses on the visual expression that anthropology adopted in the process of its construction as a scientific discipline, which clearly paralleled the contemporary development of photography.
