摘要:This unusual book falls somewhere between a war memoir and a more conventional account of therapy and research. The author led a research project that sought to evaluate the feasibility of virtual reality as a treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in the military. Rather than describing this project in an academic way, he uses it as a vehicle for a clinically rich account of how PTSD presents within a U.S. military culture, and the everyday difficulties encountered by a practising military psychiatrist both at home and on deployment in Iraq.(Published: 24 September 2012)For the abstract or full text in other languages, please see Supplementary files in the column to the right (under Article Tools).Citation: European Journal of Psychotraumatology 2012, 3: 19616 - http://dx.doi.org/10.3402/ejpt.v3i0.19616
