摘要:A relationship between parenting styles and perceived quality of family life was the focus of this study. It was carried out in a sample of parents of young people, between 11 and 13 years old, of a primary school to establish significant relationships between these variables, through Parenting styles questionnaire, based on Baumrind typology, and Family quality of life scale, translated into Spanish. The Authoritative parenting style was observed as the most representative in all participants, as well as high value indicators of quality of life. Similar means were found in the identification of parental style and quality of life related to gender and age of both parents. Finally we found significant and positive statistical relationships between Authoritative parental style and components of Importance and satisfaction about family quality of life.
