摘要：Este trabajo analiza cómo los intereses y valores relacionados con el uso de los recursos naturales y el ambiente han generado conflictos ambientales en el ámbito local, regional, nacional, internacional e incluso global. Para ello se describen algunos de los accidentes sucedidos en diversos países, los cuales han modificado el paisaje y han puesto en riesgo no sólo la diversidad biológica, sino la salud y la actividad económica de las comunidades aledañas. También estudia las dificultades que se han presentado en el reconocimiento de los daños ambientales causados y en la remediación e indemnización de los mismos; hace referencia a las normas internacionales en la materia y presenta algunas reflexiones sobre las problemáticas, las actuaciones de los estados y las posibles soluciones.
