摘要:The end of the Cold War ushered a New World Order that allowed the rise of international emerging powers such as Brazil. This country experienced a good economic development in the last two decades and also won, through its international policy, a widely respect and visibility in international community. This Order’s change also saw the flourishing of new concerns for international security, since the bipolar world have disappeared, giving way to new abstract threats such as terrorism. Given this framework for global preeminence of the Brazilian performance in international relations this paper will discuss the possibility of the country being a potential terrorist target and assess the current situation in its state of defense.
