摘要：On April 22, 2006, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela made the denunciation of the “Acuerdo de Integración Subregional Andino”, withdrawing itself from the Andean Community of National (CAN), given as reasons the possible damages of the Free Trade Agreements in negotiation between Colombia and Perú with the United States of America. Two months later, the same country manifested its interest to be a party in the South’s Common Market (MERCOSUR), signing a protocol of accession. Nevertheless, the accession is not yet into force and the legal link of the country and the block is of “Associated State”. In this context, It will be analyzed the legal implications of the said legal status, keeping in mind the parallel impulse Venezuela has given to the Bolivarian Alternative for Our America (ALBA)
