摘要：In mid-2011 the withdrawal of U.S troops from Afghanistan will begin, a process that will in 2014 with the full delivery of the security work to the Afghan government. Initially, this text describes the current situation of the Asian country, where the Taliban forces gain influence, forcing to consider the option of negotiation. Then, it refers to the situation of Afghan women, who in recent years of the occupation have won a number of rights through the 2004 Constitution, and view with increasing concern their future with the return of the Taliban. Finally, the text assesses the way in which the doctrine of Responsibility to Protect, from the responsibility of the U.S to Rebuild, can be a means by which to ensure the protection of the rights of women and to ensure the effective reconstruction of the Afghan Stat that is capable of fending off the Taliban insurgency and the disastrous consequences this would entail for the rights and freedoms of men and especially Afghan women.
