摘要：Olynthus is regarded by archaeologists as the “Pompeii” of the ancient Greek world. However, much debate has ensued over the proper use of a large open area in south-east portion of the North Hill. Using new lines of spatial evidence, this essay will uphold the theory that this open space in the North Hill was used as Olynthus' agora. Three lines of evidence will be followed: 1) the strategic location of the open area, 2) the connection to an already existing economic hub, Avenue B, and 3) the assessment of housing prices and coins will be spatially assessed in relevance to the large open area.
