摘要：http://dx.doi.org/10.1590/S0104-026X2008000300011O ensaio que se segue buscará discutir a política de identidade que está sendo proposta no Brasil com o fim de combater o racismo. Pretende refletir sobre o significado da racialização das políticas públicas e também dos nossos costumes. A questão central discutida é o objetivo dessas políticas. A partir de mitos de origem tanto do racismo quanto do combate ao racismo, procura-se descrever a história recente da introdução dessas políticas com base na “raça” e seus objetivos.
其他摘要：The paper will discuss the new politics of identity that are been proposed in order to combat racism. It will also reflect on the racialization of public policies and of our costumes. The question raised in the paper is what is the real purpose of these new policies? Describing the myth of racism and also the myth of the combat of racism in Brazil the recent history of the introduction of policies based on “race” will be analyzed. The question is what is the aim of introducing “race” in our juridical system? What is the aim of such a radical change in our concept of nation?
