Cronenberg Irmãos Inseparáveis (Dead Ringers), à luz de um referencial proveniente do universo simbólico da Grécia Antiga. Embora o filme trate temáticas emblemáticas da tardo-modernidade – identidades estilhaçadas, relações problemáticas do eu com o corpo ou as representações dos géneros cada vez mais marcadas pela ambivalência e conflito – é possível encontrar na produção mítico-poética e na ciência gregas áreas de significado que replicam as mesmas inquietações exploradas no filme. Adicionam-se, ainda, alguns exemplos provenientes das sociedades ágrafas que sublinham o alcance universal dos conteúdos explorados no filme.
其他摘要：We propose an interpretation of D. Cronenberg’s movie Dead Ringers which seeks a referential ground in Ancient Greek symbolism. Even though the movie explores subjects that are emblematic of late modernity – the problem of shattered identities, the problematic relations between self and body or the increasing ambiguity of gender representations – we argue that thesame issues can be found in some fields of Greek culture. We claim the similarities are not coincidental but reveal, instead, the existence of universals in symbolic representation. We add ethnographic examples to support this claim.
