摘要：Se describe la situación de Icobandas S.A., empresa colombiana creada en 1973, productora y comercializadora de bandas transportadoras y de transmisión; la que a pesar de caracterizarse por una excelente calidad de sus productos y asistencia técnica, de haber logrado reconocimiento y participación en el mercado nacional y latinoamericano, se vio afectada por diversos factores que en la década de los años noventa la llevan a una gran crisis donde se tiene como única alternativa la firma de un acuerdo de Reestructuración Empresarial. Para los analistas, un acuerdo de Reestructuración (Ley 550/99) no resulta ser la salvación de ninguna organización si no se conjuga con diferentes herramientas de gestión; el caso deja al lector la tarea de realizar un análisis global (macroeconómico, financiero, administrativo, logístico, de capital humano, entre otros....) para plantear la estrategia que lleve a presentar una solución que minimice el riesgo y beneficie a los stake holders.
