摘要:Several changes occurred in society have created new information needs to be satisfied, in this emerging field of information literacy movement. This study aims to ascertain general, using the approach of information literacy, like teenagers who find themselves in a situation of low income informational perform their searches. Data collection took place through a questionnaire consisting of ten questions applied to the nine students of the Center for Coexistence Children of the Sea (CCMAR). For data analysis we used the Theory of the Information Search Process (ISP) by Carol Kuhlthau. It was found as the main result of the predominance of positive feelings in the beginning of the process of information search and in the end. It was observed that students regard the practice of learning research provides, however indicated that they can not always apply in their daily what has been learned. It was found that the Internet is used by most respondents as the sole source of reference. In fact, it became clear that young people do not have clarity about what is search and did not feel encouraged to express their opinions. Results indicate the need to develop capabilities that make the young informationally competent.
