摘要：This paper deals with the problem of the current deterioration of economics factors, as a result of the financial collapse, and also discusses how such a situation has affected the traditional migration flow in Europe and, particularly, Spain. By means of the analysis of the international statistics about migration, the research confirms the importance of economic factors in a period of uncertainty, and describes their impact on migration flows. Thus, the results have shown that: 1) economic factors affect the migration flow significantly; 2) the deterioration of the economic factors and a longer crisis are changing the current economic scenario, particularly in Spain, which has changed its status of a destination country to a country with an increasing emigration; and 3) economic differences in Spain have increased as compared to the European average.
