  • 摘要:The article argues that economics, in the broad sense of the term, performs, shapes and formats the economy rather than simply observing it. Therefore, in order to understand the formatting of calculative agencies, we should take into account the role of devices such as calculating tools (i.e. material and metrological equipment) in defining the form and extension of a given market organization. It postulates that any calculative economic agency requires framing and disentanglement while (and because) this very movement allows entanglement and overflowing. Finally, neither market laws and the homo economicus are the hidden nature of human being, nor are they pure fictions. Instead, they are the historical result of the joint movement of economy and economics.
