摘要：This paper presents an analysis of the meaning of the body practices based on the Indians’ population games. In this case, the field work had done to use the observation and interview during the IX edition of the indians’ games (Recife/PE – 2007). The discussion was based on the theories of Social Sciences and Physical Education. The conclusion is that: (a) the body practices (games, dances) in the context of the indians’ games receives a new meaning because their traditional and modern values have changed; (b) the games became a disjunctive game in the place of being a ritual game.
