The book presents a sociological discussion of the way in which the human brain recognizes and uses the body as means of interaction, from various classic authors. Bodily social interactions such as looks, facial expressions, posture, gestures are cultural and historical constructs. The body is not only revealed as a product of society but also as constructor of cultural meanings.
