摘要：This article discusses possible dialogues between Sports Studies, African Studies and Postcolonial Studies. The aim is to raise possibilities for research and draw attention to new subjects. At the end, it is concluded that considering the discussion presented seems to be an interesting alternative to fill a gap in our production, casting new perspectives on the sport as much about Africa, as well as on the history of Brazil, even about what we call, loosely and always surrounded by controversy, lusophony.
