摘要：Considering that recent social changes have been motivating effects in the school life, this research had as the main goal understand the meaning of school and Physical Education from the meanings given by teachers and students of a Rede Publica Municipal. Having observations of participants, field diary, interviews and analyses of documents like thorical methodologic options, we built up five interpretative categories that are the main focus of discussion of this article: School and its links with knowledge; School and Physical Education; School and the challenges lived by its workers in their present everyday lives; School, changes and projects; Thinking the meaning of school is thinking the meaning of life.
