摘要:We present the procedures and preliminary results of archaeological and ethnoarchaeological research held in May 2010, with the objective of locating the Asurini do Xingu old settlements on the banks of the Ipiaçava river and verify the archaeological potential of this area of Kuatinemu Indigenous Land. Both the archaeologists and the Asurini Indians carried out the project, contributing with different interests and expertise in the preparation, organization, logistics, activities schedule and the interpretation of the rain forest landscape and material data. Reporting this experience, we wish to contribute for the debate about reflexive and multivocal practices, highlighting the multicultural dialogue and expression of different forms of knowledge and histories brought to Archaeology. Keywords: community archaeology, multivocality, Asurini do Xingu.
