摘要：Resumen: En este ensayo se presentan varios aspectos del proceso de traducción del francés al español del libro Saint-Exupéry, tel que je l'ai connu de Léon Werth. Del original: sus antecedentes, su contenido, los problemas filosóficos, literarios y éticos examinados por el autor. De la traducción: la posición del traductor, su horizonte hermenéutico, los obstáculos que tuvo que enfrentar en su tarea. Lo de ‘diálogo' obedece a la naturaleza de los textos que integran el original: cartas y artículos en los que el autor continúa dialogando con su amigo y su obra. Lo de ‘póstumo' no es más que la expresión de un deseo del traductor: proseguir, en esta nueva dimensión - temporal, textual -, ese fecundo diálogo truncado por la muerte. Palabras clave: proceso de traducción, punto de vista del traductor, problemas filosóficos, problemas literarios, problemas éticos. Résumé : Dans cet essai, on présente quelques éléments du processus de traduction du français vers l'espagnol du livre Saint-Exupéry, tel que je l'ai connu , de Léon Werth. Quant à l'original: ses antécédents, son contenu, les problèmes philosophiques, littéraires et éthiques sur lesquels l'auteur a réfléchi. Quant à la traduction: le point de vue du traducteur, son horizon herméneutique, les obstacles qu'il a dus surmonter dans sa tâche. On a écrit ‘dialogue' à cause de la nature des textes qui composent l'original: des lettres et des articles où l'auteur continue le dialogue avec son ami et son œuvre. On a écrit ‘posthume' parce qu'il s'agissait simplement d'exprimer un désir du traducteur: poursuivre, dans cette nouvelle dimension - temporelle, textuelle -, ce fécond dialogue que la mort a interrompu. Mots clés : processus de traduction, point de vue du traducteur, problèmes philosophiques, problèmes littéraires, problèmes éthiques. Summary : This article deals with the elements involved in the translation process from French into Spanish of Saint-Exupéry, tel que je l'ai connu by Léon Werth. As far as the original, we deal with its antecedents and its contents, and also with the philosophical, ethical, and literary problems in which the author was interested. As far as the translation, we deal with the translator's point of view, his hermeneutical horizon, the obstacles he had to overcome while doing his task. We have used "dialogue" following the nature of the texts that compose the original: letters and articles, with which the author continues his dialogue with his friend and with his work. We have used "posthumous", because it was a matter of expressing plainly a translator's desire: to continue in this new dimension -temporary and textual- the fruitful dialogue that death has interrupted. Key words: Translation process, translator's point of view, philosophical problems, literary problems, ethical problems. Resumo: Neste ensaio, apresentam-se vários aspectos do processo de tradução do francês ao espanhol do livro Saint-Exupéry, tel que je l'ai connu, de Léon Werth. No que se refere ao original, tratam-se de seus antecedentes, seu conteúdo, os problemas filosóficos, literários e éticos examinados pelo autor. No que se refere à tradução: a posição do tradutor, seu horizonte hermenêutico, os obstáculos que teve que enfrentar em sua tarefa. Sobre o ‘diálogo', obedece à natureza dos textos que integram o original: cartas e artigos naqueles que o autor continua dialogando com seu amigo e sua obra. Sobre o ‘póstumo' não é mais que a expressão de um desejo do tradutor: prosseguir, nesta nova dimensão - temporal, textual -, esse fecundo diálogo truncado pela morte. Palavras-chave: processo de tradução, ponto de vista do tradutor, problemas filosóficos, problemas literários, problemas éticos.
