摘要：Presentem alguns resultats d'una recerca sobre el procés de modelització d'un episodi (escalfar sucre fins que es carbonitzi) portada a terme per alumnes d'educació secundària obligatòria (ESO). Al llarg de la pràctica, se'ls va encoratjar a què reflexionessin sobre allò que feien per tal d'explicar què passava. Havien de justificar els canvis de manera raonada i generalitzable amb el llenguatge més acurat possible. Els documents que redactaven havien de reflectir tant la discussió a classe com les aportacions fetes pel professor. D'aquesta manera, van comprendre que, en escalfar el sucre, s'havia produït un canvi químic i que el sucre havia «desaparegut ».
其他摘要：We present the results of research about the modelling process of an experiment (to heat sugar until it becomes carbon). It was made by secondary school students. During the practical work students were encouraged to think about what they do in order to explain what happens. They had to justify changes in a rationale and generalized way, using the most accurate language is possible. The texts the students wrote had to reflect class discussions and the teachers intervention. This way the students understood that heating sugar caused a chemical change and that sugar had «disappeared».
