摘要：In 1773, Lavoisier wrote in his laboratory notebook his intention to cause a revolution in physics and chemistry by reviewing everything that had been done and by talking about the air released and how it is fixed by different materials. Indeed, the reconstruction of chemistry as advocated by Lavoisier provided, among other things, an understanding of the gaseous state previously undifferentiated from solid and liquid states. This article presents an exploration of the historical process that led to the recognition in the late eighteenth century of a third state of matter.
