摘要：O presente artigo apresenta um estudo teórico sobre sátira e a sua possível aplicação à obra do dramaturgo português Antônio José da Silva, o Judeu.A partir de leituras de estudos teóricos sobre as questões da sátira, encontramos três definições aceitáveis do termo.Aplicados às peças O Precipício de Faetonte e Anfitrião ou Júpiter e Alcmena, constatamos que as teorias de sátira analisadas são rejeitadas ou não se adequam às peças do dramaturgo.
其他摘要：This paper shows a theoretical study on satire and its possible application to the plays of Antônio José da Silva, the Jewish. From readings of the theoretical studies on the issues of satire, we find three accepted definitions of the term. Applied at the plays The Precipice of Phaeton and Amphitrion or Jupiter and Alcmene, we found that the theories of satire analyzed are rejected or do not fit the your plays.
