摘要:Among the set of questions that makes us think or imagine that a significant change is underway in Brazilian education, the issue of the other, or others, appears to occupy both a place of privilege as well as one of renowned banalization. Thus, three questions appear to trace the dividing lines in current pedagogical discourse: 1) does it concern, by chance, an other that was never here? 2) does it concern an other that only returns to tell us stories of discrimination and exclusion? Or perhaps 3) does it concern an “School I” that is simply prepared to be a host and or gets upset only by the aesthetic of its own hospitality, but is not interested in the other? In this article I propose to discuss some of the images of the other that recur in the educational and school discourses and, in particular, I will discuss the issue of the “other with special educational needs”.
