摘要：À noção de ambiente como entorno físico do vivente é contraposta a noção de ambiente abstrato, que só emerge de relações com significação ao ser consciente. A expressão meio-ambiente é apontada como produto de linguagem orientada por uma visão dicotômica da relação humano-natureza. Há muito foi apontado que confundir justiça com direito por força de lei tem possibilitado aos mais fortes sustentar situações injustas; aponta-se agora que, analogamente, não distinguir ambiente de meio dificulta lidar com a questão ambiental.

Long since has been suggested that confusing justice with legal rights makes possible to the strongest to sustain unfair situations; analogously we suggest that not distinguishing environment from surroundings makes difficult to deal with environmental issues.
