摘要：Artisanal fisheries is an economical activity which has been developed in the locality of Pântano do Sul Beach for the last five thousand years. The strong exploitation from the industrial fisheries companies is responsible for a very significant decreasing in the marine fishing stocks of Santa Catarina State. As a consequence it generates the decline of the artisanal fisheries. Direct actions must be planned to avoid the extinction of the artisinal fisheries in the Pântano do Sul Beach, because this can effectively happens in 10 years from now, as the local fishermen say.
