摘要：Relating Gilberto Freyre's conception of social change in the 70's and 80's to the one he developed in some of his classic works in the 30's and 40's is the principal objective of this paper. It is going to demonstrate in what sense the construction of a conservative set of political, social and economic ideas about our (im)possibilities of social changes persists, showing how this interpreter continues to conceive Brazil as a country free from any insurmountable conflicting action.
