摘要：Resumo: Meu propósito principal neste texto foi investigar os atributos centrais do estádio ético, conforme definido por S. Kierkegaard, enfatizando a noção de liberdade como central para sua qualificação. Essa descrição é feita, primeiramente, com base na comparação entre o ético e o estético e, depois, com base principalmente na comparação entre o ético e o religioso, perpassando, então, os três grandes estádios definidos pelo pensador dinamarquês. Concluo, a partir disso, que o ético fundamenta-se em uma noção de liberdade enquanto auto-determinação da vontade, pela qual o indivíduo constitui sua própria subjetividade, esta definida, por sua vez, como espírito ou uma interioridade que tem, mediante si mesmo e o mundo, o dever de tornar-se personalidade integrada.Palavras-chave: Kierkegaard, Ética, Vontade, Devir. Abstract: My purpose in this paper was to investigate central atributes of the ethic stage, as defined by S. Kierkegaard, enphasizing the notion of freedom as a central conception to understand that stage. I develop my text firstly by comparing the ethic to the esthetic and, secondly, the ethic to the religious. That means this paper approaches the three main kierkegaardian’ stages. I conclude that the ethic define freedom as self-determination of will, by which the individual constitute his/her own subjetivity, become him/herself spirit or, inwardness. That way, the individual must – it is his/her duty – to become an integrate, coerent, personality.Key words: Kierkegaard, Ethics, Will, Become.
