摘要：Este artigo analisa o discurso referente à Jonh Dewey e à Escola Nova publicado no periódico A Ordem (1930-1934), editado por intelectuais católicos brasileiros. O objetivo é discutir os argumentos dos autores em sua crítica ao pragmatismo deweyano e às proposições pedagógicas renovadoras.Palavras-chave: escola nova, pensamento educacional católico, educação brasileira (história). Abstract This article analyses the discourse about John Dewey and the New School published by the periodic A Ordem (1930-1934), edited by Brazilian catholic intellectuals.
