摘要:In this paper we present a study about the prosodic status of prefixed words in BrazilianPortuguese and Peninsular Spanish. Considering the theoretical framework of the Prosodic Phonology(Selkirk, 1984, 1986; Nespor &Vogel, 1986), we assume that the monosyllabic prefixes in the describedlanguages are split in two categories: the incorporated prefixes (transparent but not necessarilyproductive) and the adjoined prefixes (obligatorily transparent and productive).
