摘要：O “valor” da terra na Amazônia, mais precisamente entre as décadas de 1840-1880 é o nosso objeto de análise. Assim, optamos pelo entendimento desta questão na heterogeneidade das interpretações que se apresentavam nos discursos presentes em documentos e pronunciamentos oficiais. Indagamos sobre os elementos que apontavam para a definição do valor da terra como não associado apenas sobre o ponto de vista monetário, mas também relacionado à importância social do uso e ocupação do solo, o que direcionavam as falas dos que viam na agricultura a possibilidade de fixar o homem amazônico a terra assegurando a posse e a constituição de propriedades rurais. Mostramos que os debates apontavam para o entendimento de que o valor da terra, seja ele econômico ou social, estava relacionado ao desenvolvimento da atividade agrícola que assegurava uma produção mais consistente e menos suscetível aos condicionantes e ciclos naturais de coleta.
其他摘要：The “value” of land in the Amazon, more precisely between the decades of 1840-1880 is our object of analysis. Thus, we chose the understanding of this issue in the heterogeneity of interpretations that were presented in the discourses present in documents and official statements. We inquired about the elements that pointed to the definition of the value of land and not associated with just about the monetary point of view, but also related to the social importance of the use and occupation, which drove the speeches of those who saw in agriculture the possibility of fix the Amazon man ensuring the landownership and the establishment of farms. We show that the discussions pointed to the understanding that the value of land, be it economic or social, was related to the development of agriculture production which ensured a more consistent and less susceptible to natural condition and collection cycles.
