摘要：É minha intenção descrever alguns aspectos da obra de Mário Cesariny, tendo como foco o livro Manual de prestidigitação . Pretendo destacar seu diálogo com o surrealismo e com algumas referências que informam este movimento, como Arthur Rimbaud e Lautréamont. A palavra ‘mágica’, que aparece no título do artigo, será uma porta de entrada para a poética do autor português, usada para indicar algumas de suas afinidades e alguns dos seus distanciamentos em relação a diferentes manifestações da tradição moderna. It’s my intention to describe some aspects of the work of Mario Cesariny, focusing on the book Manual de prestidigitação . I intend to highlight its dialogue with Surrealism and with a few references that inform this movement, such as Arthur Rimbaud and Lautréamont. The word ‘magic’, which appears on the title of the article, will be a gateway to the poetry of the Portuguese author, used in order to indicate some of its affinities and some of its distances in relation to different manifestations of modern tradition.
