摘要：I examine the influence of historiography on neo-Paganism and in particular on modern Italian witchcraft. I show how historiographical narratives have influenced some aspects of contemporary religious ideology, particularly the case of the influence of the theses of Charles Godfrey Leland and Margaret Alice Murray on the doctrine of modern Italian witchcraft.
