摘要：The present article analyses the expansion of the College Education in Brazil, that education politics enabled at the State of Paraná to develop focused on the creation of the Colleges in the hinterland at the end of the 1940s, when the Philosophy, Sciences and Letters College of the State of Paraná, in Ponta Grossa, was created, process which was completed in the beginning of the 70s with the installation of the State University in Ponta Grossa and also other Universities in Londrina and Maringá, installed on the Northern part of the state.↓O artigo analisa a expansão do ensino superior no Brasil e, o processo de interiorização do 3º grau no Paraná, que viabilizou a criação da Faculdade Estadual de Filosofia, Ciências e Letras de Ponta Grossa ao final da década de 40, no sul e demais faculdades ao norte na década de 50 nas cidades de Londrina e Maringá complementando-se ao início dos anos 70 com a criação das Universidades Paranaenses instaladas em Ponta Grossa, Londrina e Maringá.
