摘要：This is a short biography of senior Hiligaynon writer and Metrobank Outstanding Teacher Maria Luisa S. Defante-Gibraltar that traces her life from Bacolod City, the place of her birth, and to Guimbal, Iloilo, where she grow old teaching and building her own family. A tentative assessment of her contribution, not only in Hiligaynon literature but also in Philippine literature as whole, is stated in this paper.
