摘要:The paper tackles the issue of whether it is right on the part of an author-teacher to bring his or her creative work to class or to be included in his or her class syllabus. There are author-teachers who scorn the idea of having their creative works be discussed and be part of the subject, on one hand. On the other hand, there are author-teachers who bring to class and include in their subject matter their own creative works. The paper favors the latter, because, as it is stated, everyone has the right to write. It suggests, however, that "journal approach" be employed in teaching, both on the part of the students and teachers. The paper cited the author's poem, "Ang Baboy" which has been included in text books and syllabi in literature classes. The author pointed out the students' delight in analyzing their teacher's work, stressing also the credibility of the teachers in teaching the subject matter. Afterall, teaching is offering oneself so as students may emulate and learn better.-Abstracted by Amorita C. Rabuco, Ph.Ddoi: 10.3860/aug.v12i0.1232Augustinian Journal Vol.12 2009 137-146
