摘要：This research aims to provide an idea of the dimension and formal structure of the career, from an intrinsic and extrinsic look, which facilitates the identification of the obstacles, the planning and a proposal of alternatives of improvement based on scientific findings. This report presents the methodology used in the processes of self evaluation and accreditation to know the informants perspective regarding the academic activities, the results of the systematization analysis from the information gathered, the experience gained during the four years the Library Science, Information and Documentation School has been credited and the lessons learned along the process, considering the guidelines as the basis of the accreditation agent: the National Higher Education Accreditation System (SINAES) The document can be taken as a useful manual of exercises to guarantee educational processes of high quality, as a methodology to keep track of the activities university careers have gone through in their accreditation processes, and as an important input for defining evaluation aspects of the curriculum.
