摘要:The purpose of this paper is practical: to teach the user to reformat Winisis database designed and implemented in any format, standardized or not, making the format of interest in the information unit. Winisis is a package that allows any nomenclature in the definition of the labels that identify the fields. This aspect is an advantage and a disadvantage because it allows freedom in choosing the format to use, but generate a variety of formats in information units, making it difficult to support in automated cataloging, standardization and effective transfer of information between units of information. Some problems faced by librarians in their daily work to normalize the data are for example: a) the variety of databases without normalization, b) the variation between formats, c) different numbers, labels and field names that make up databases, and even databases created with different versions of Microisis d) a computerized catalog in a format without normalization, e) for participation in a network and requires the conversion of the catalog to the common format of the network. In some cases it was decided to type information again in the new format, however, in this situation, Winisis Microisis and has a resource called "Table Field Selection for reformatting."
