摘要：Desprès de la caiguda de Maximilien Robespierre i per tal de combatre un discurs polític, econòmic i social favorable als més desprotegits, un relat històric i dramàtic és minuciosament elaborat. Un relat de bons i de dolents, de víctimes i de botxins. Un relat que compta amb la presència del cinquè genet de l’Apocalipsi entre els botxins, i que presenta com a víctimes els ciutadans “útils” i “instruïts” de la fi del segle divuit i les seves propietats. Aquest relat forjat entorn dels diputats enviats en missió sota la Convenció nacional serà contestat a mitjan segle dinou quan alguns historiadors allunyaran la màscara del cinquè genet de l’Apocalipsi del rostre dels representants en missió. El treball que presentem a continuació és un balanç historiogràfic de les diferents interpretacions emeses pels historiadors de la fi del segle divuit, del segle dinou i d’inicis del segle vint sobre el rol dels representants en missió.
其他摘要：In the aftermath of Maximilien Robespierre’s downfall, a historic and dramatic discourse was carefully staged in order to oppose a political, economic and social discourse in favour of the destitute. The discourse cast the fifth knight of the Apocalypse as the evil character and the “good” and “educated” citizens of the late 18th century along with their belongings as the victims. Staged around the deputies on mission sent by the National Convention, the discourse was nevertheless contested in the mid 19th century, when some historians started to remove the fifth knight’s mask from the face of the representatives on mission. The present study is a historiographic balance of the various interpretations put forward by historians of the late 18th century, of the 19th century and the early 20th century on the role of the representatives on mission.
