In a baroque, multidimensional universe, the characters, behind their masks, devote themselves to a ceaseless play to capture, to seize this beyond. It is a vital but dangerous activity in a social world ruled by a relative cruelty. The text often slips towards the fantastic on the imaginary scene. Résumé: La surface visible des apparences n’est là que pour être crevée, ouverte, de façon à pouvoir accéder à l’envers du décor dans l’œuvre de Nathalie Sarraute. Le vernis figé, coloré qui recouvre la réalité cache l’essentiel, l’invisible. Dans un univers baroque, multidimensionnel, les personnages, derrière leurs masques, se livrent à un jeu incessant pour capter, saisir cet au-delà. C’est une entreprise vitale mais dangereuse dans un monde social régi par une relative cruauté. Le texte glisse souvent vers le fantastique sur la scène imaginaire déployée.
