摘要：Este artigo propõe refletir os conceitos Corpo e Estética, situando-os no cenário das danças populares, especificamente o bumba-meu-boi do Maranhão. Entre tantas leituras possíveis dos textos inscritos no corpo e em diversas situações, nas quais poderíamos situar essa manifestação da cultura sob vários enfoques, a saber: folclórico, histórico, antropológico e outros, para serem lidos, interpretados, compreendidos e atualizados, situamos nossos estudos na condição de fenômeno estético. Para tanto, temos, como interlocução principal, os estudos fenomenológicos sobre o corpo em Maurice Merleau-Ponty. 其他摘要：It enters as many possible readings of the enrolled texts in the body and, in diverse situations, this article considers to reflect the concepts: Aesthetic body and pointing out them in the scene of the popular dances, specifically the Bumba-meu-boi of the Maranhão.Therefore, it enters some approaches that we could point out this manifestation of the culture, to know: folkloric, description, anthropological, among others, that they are some of the texts offered for this form of manifestation to be read, interpreted, understood and brought up to date, we point out our studies of this manifestation in the condition of aesthetic phenomenon.
