摘要：RESUMO: O estudo relaciona questões sobre a crise mundial presente, a cultura e o desenvolvimento humano. Reúne provocações que buscam contribuir para o esclarecimento do conceito e do contexto da crise. Em seguida, coloca a sua relação com a cultura e o modelo de políticas culturais em uso no Brasil, ponderando a articulação das dimensões material e simbólica para o desenvolvimento integrado. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: crise; cultura; desenvolvimento. The Crisis and the Culture ABSTRACT: The study relates questionings about the recent world crisis, the culture and human development. It reunites provocations which try to contribute to the clarifying of the concept and context of the crisis. It also relates it to the culture and to the model of cultural politics in Brazil, meditating the articulations of the material and symbolic dimensions to the integrated development.
