摘要：O presente artigo visa discutir a importância e indispensabilidade da Lei 10.639/2003 dando ênfase ao papel desempenhado pelas populações de origem africana na construção da história do Brasil, bem como as circunstâncias que levaram a criação da referida Lei. Também são analisados como se estabelecem as relações interétnicas no contexto escolar, as manifestações de discriminação no ambiente escolar cometidas tanto por alunos(as), professores(as), diretores(as), etc; a maneira como os docentes e a escola devem lidar com o racismo e com o preconceito, trata brevemente sobre a questão da educação quilombola; e a aplicação da Lei tanto por parte do educador como da escola, apontando caminhos a serem trilhados por parte dos educadores através da resignificação dos conceitos de algumas palavras utilizadas no cotidiano escolar.
其他摘要：This paper discusses the importance and indispensability of Law 10639/2003 emphasizing the key role played by people of African descent in the construction of Brazil's history and the circumstances that led to the creation of the aforementioned Act are also examined as are established ethnic relations in the school context, the manifestations of discrimination in the school environment committed by both the students (as), teachers (as), directors (as), etc., and the way teachers and schools should deal with racism and prejudice, it briefly on the issue of education maroon, and the application of law by both the teacher and the school, showing routes to be followed by educators through the reframing of the concepts of some words used in everyday school life.
