摘要：O objetivo deste trabalho é discutir as formulações acerca do papel do Estado no Brasil, no período da Primeira República, efetuada por eminentes pensadores do período, como Alberto Torres, Oliveira Vianna, Azevedo Amaral e Gilberto Amado. Através do exame das principais bases teóricas desenvolvidas por esses pensadores, pretende-se investigar o modelo institucional do Estado brasileiro assim formulado, notadamente no aspecto que tange às relações entre a estrutura institucional e um idealizado perfil da identidade nacional operado pelos mesmos.
其他摘要：This work discusses the formulations - made by famous brazilians thinkers, like Alberto Torres, Oliveira Vianna, Azevedo Amaral and Gilberto Amado - about the functions of the state in Brazil, in the period called "Primeira República". By the investigation of the principal theoretical bases of these thinkers, this work examines their state's institucional model formulated, especifically the relations about the institucional structure and an idealized national identity formulated by these thinkers.
