摘要:The House of the Marquis of Villatorcas was famous in the late xviith century Valencia due to its important library and to the scientific and literary meetings that took place in it. In 1702, the son and heir of the marquis, Juan Basilio Castelvi, married the countess of Cervellon and on account of this marriage, he was granted by his father with an important art collection. It was made by paintings, most of them of italian origin, specially from Naples, and a great number of genre painting, landscape, ruins, and still-life. This article allows us to analyse this collection and its distribution in the house.
