摘要：Sexuality, Prejudice and Socioeconomic Profile of the Haunters of LGBT Leisure and/or Tourist Areas in Uberlândia, MG Este artigo tem o objetivo de apresentar um estudo que trata da espacialização da oferta de lazer e/ou turismo destinado eminentemente ao grupo LGBT na área central de Uberlândia, MG. Focou-se mais especificamente em questões relacionadas à sexualidade, fatores socioeconômicos e demográficos. Do ponto de vista metodológico, realizou-se uma série de levantamentos documentais e revisão bibliográfica, bem como trabalhos de campo para coleta de dados na área estudada. Como resultados foi possível entender algumas questões relativas à identidade de gênero e sexualidade, assim como aspectos concernentes ao perfil socioeconômico e demográfico dos frequentadores dos locais pesquisados. Observou-se que a falta de entendimento das complexas relações humanas envolvidas nas relações sociais mediadas pela diversidade de identidades de gênero é um dos muitos fatores que contribuem para o agravamento do preconceito e exclusão social do grupo LGBT. Abstract This article aims to present a study which deals with the spatialization of the offering of leisure and/or tourism eminently targeted for the LGBT group in downtown Uberlândia. It is specifically focused on sexuality and socioeconomic and demographic issues. From the methodological point of view, there were a series of documentary surveys and literature reviews, as well as field studies for data collection in the focused area. From the results, it was possible to understand some issues related to sexuality and gender identity, as well as some aspects concerning the socioeconomic and demographic profile of the visitors of the studied places. It was observed that the lack of comprehension on the complex human relations involved in the social relationships mediated by the diversity of gender identities is one of many factors that contribute to worsen the prejudice and the social exclusion of the LGBT group.
